After swimming in my pond last night, I laid out on a raft gazing at the stars. Time stood completely still. My worries, doubt, and fears went away, while my sense of self, and relevancy came back.
The clouds covered my view later in the night, but not before I caught part of the meteor shower, seeing two shooting stars. In that moment, I wasn’t thinking about making a wish. I wasn’t thinking about all of the wishes that have come true throughout my life. I wasn’t really thinking at all.
I was smiling. I was crying. I was home.
